RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on Medical Trauma Unit providing medical surgical and telemetry care
• Patient ratios of 5-6:1 in a 34-bed unit with private and semi-private rooms
• Work with remote telemetry, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, and wound vac equipment
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Every other weekend schedule required with no call responsibilities
• Medical surgical experience and BLS certification required
• RN license required
• Trauma experience and telemetry experience preferred
• Manage complex wounds, administration of blood products, pain management
• Handle tubes and drains including NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes
• Float to medical surgical and telemetry units if certified
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be a team player and compassionate caregiver
