Pump Mechanic
We are seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team. The role involves disassembling, troubleshooting, and reassembling various types of motor-driven pumps and blowers. You will also be responsible for cleaning and preparing mechanical/electrical components for inspection, examining parts for defects, and performing detailed mechanical and visual inspections. Additionally, you will recommend actions based on your findings and perform service calls for emergency breakdowns.
Responsibilities- Disassemble, troubleshoot, and reassemble motor-driven pumps and blowers.
- Clean and prepare components using sandblasters, dip tanks, steam wash pits, etc.
- Examine parts for defects and document findings.
- Recommend actions based on inspection results.
- Perform emergency breakdown service calls.
- Safely oversee the lifting and rigging of heavy equipment.
- Lead and mentor less experienced mechanics.
- Balance rotating assemblies using shop balancing equipment.
- Conduct hydrostatic pressure testing on refurbished pumps.
- Perform acceptance testing on pump motors.
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Vibration analysis
- Laser alignment
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and measuring tools
- Experience in disassembling and rigging
- 4+ years in industrial mechanical repair
- High school degree or equivalent
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent driving record
- Willingness to work overtime, including nights and weekends
- Experience as an outside machinist or millwright

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
