Business Development Representative-Banking

Location: West End
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (On-site)
Compensation: $50,000 base + commission

About the Role

A local financial institution is expanding their Treasury Department and seeking motivated Banking Business Development Representatives to help us build lasting client relationships and drive deposit growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team, learn directly from leadership, and have a clear path to success in financial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a targeted calling list to identify deposit opportunities (with support from Treasury leadership).
  • Conduct outreach through phone calls, emails, and warm introductions to schedule client meetings.
  • Partner with lenders and branch teams to receive referrals and leads.
  • Interview clients to understand their needs, conduct analysis, and recommend tailored banking solutions.
  • Present financial solutions and close new business opportunities.
  • Manage ongoing client relationships, ensuring excellent service and account management.
  • Participate in professional networking groups and community events (memberships covered by the bank).

Training & Development

  • Comprehensive 2–3 week training program.
  • Treasury operations and systems training.
  • Continued mentorship to build product knowledge and sales confidence.

Performance Expectations

  • Establish new client contacts/touchpoints per week.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of banking systems, products, and services.
  • Actively engage in networking opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Consistently provide thoughtful client analysis and deliver solutions that close business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Motivated self-starter with a strong desire to grow in sales and relationship management.
  • Personable and professional communicator who enjoys working with people.
  • Attention to detail and strong memory skills to manage client needs and banking solutions.
  • Prior customer service or service industry experience has been shown to translate well into success.
  • Banking or financial services experience is a plus but not required.
