Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a busy community hospital and stroke center, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and AHA certifications.
Details
- Community hospital Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients
- 27-bed ED within a busy stroke center setting
- Standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, with potential stretch to 5:1 during peak census
- Night shift schedule: 7pā7a
- 40 hours per week
- Approximately 5ā6 weekend shifts required per contract, with no set weekend schedule
- Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- No on-call requirement; additional shifts available on a voluntary basis
- Epic (ASAP module) used for charting
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Experience with both adult and pediatric ED patients preferred
