Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a busy community hospital and stroke center, requiring 2+ years of ED experience and AHA certifications.

Details

• Community hospital Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients
• 27-bed ED within a busy stroke center setting
• Standard nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, with potential stretch to 5:1 during peak census
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a
• 40 hours per week
• Approximately 5–6 weekend shifts required per contract, with no set weekend schedule
• Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• No on-call requirement; additional shifts available on a voluntary basis
• Epic (ASAP module) used for charting

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Experience with both adult and pediatric ED patients preferred
