CDL-A Truck Driver Recent Graduates and Experienced Drivers

Position summary: Seeking CDL-A drivers—both recent graduates and experienced operators—to run regional dry van routes east of I-35. The role provides predictable regional schedules, modern equipment, and mentor-led paid training for new drivers.

Compensation and schedule:

• Estimated annual pay: $70,000 to $80,000.
• Home time: Typically two days every other week.
• Paid training: First 4–6 weeks with a mentor; training pay of $650 per week.

Area of operation, equipment, and freight:

• Area of operation: Regional routes east of I-35.
• Equipment: Late-model Freightliner tractors with automatic transmissions.
• Freight: Dry van; 100% no-touch freight.

Primary responsibilities:

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and in compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and hours-of-service requirements.
• Transport dry van freight on assigned regional routes according to schedules and customer instructions.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and promptly report defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally and promptly with dispatch and customers; follow established delivery and pickup procedures.
• Ensure proper load securement and follow handling procedures for dry van freight.
• Report accidents, delays, or compliance issues immediately and cooperate with incident reviews.

Minimum qualifications:

• Valid CDL-A (Class A) license.
• For recent graduates: Completion of at least 120 hours of truck driving school within the past 12 months.
• Minimum age 21 years.
• Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements for commercial drivers.
• Ability to pass required drug screenings and background checks.
• Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
