Job Title: RCBP Benefits Enrollment Processor
Reports to: Director of Insurance Department
Job Purpose:
The RCBP Benefits Enrollment Processor is primarily responsible for maintaining the integrity of the enrollment records of the Rural Carrier Benefit Plan (RCBP); the Association sponsored Postal Service Health Benefits Plan.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Receive, review, and process eligibility records for the Rural Carrier Benefit Plan (RCBP).
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records by electronically scanning and uploading all relevant data into the database.
- Prepare and mail welcome packets and new enrollment packets to members; collaborate with the Manager of Insurance to enhance packet materials when appropriate.
- Maintain active communication with benefits and eligibility contacts at the U.S. Postal Service and other PSHB plans to resolve enrollment issues, eligibility questions, missing membership information, and transmittal discrepancies via phone or written correspondence.
- Respond to all incoming calls related to RCBP enrollment and eligibility.
- Collaborate closely with the Membership Department and Insurance Department to support members and advance the mission of the NRLCA.
- Assist Insurance Department staff with general office operations, including sorting incoming and outgoing mail, fulfilling material requests, and completing additional tasks assigned by the Director of Insurance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to type at least 55 wpm.
- Must possess ability to appropriately prioritize and perform duties without requiring supervisory intervention.
- Must be reliable, professional and responsible.
- Must be able to perform well under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize, cooperate well with others.
- Database experience is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting salary is $57,138 with annual and bi-annual increases according to salary scale. This position is a full-time (40-hour work week) non-exempt position; 100% in the office, Monday – Friday. Benefits include health insurance, 401-K(matching), vacation and sick days, Flexible spending account, employer paid dental, vision, and life insurance.
