Job Title: 3rd Shift General Labor – Reclaim/Scrap Operator

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:15 AM,

As a Reclaim/Scrap Operator , you’ll play a key role in supporting recycling operations and maintaining a safe, clean production environment. • Assist Machine Operators in recycling scrap aluminum and reclaiming materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety and environmental protocols.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout procedures and operate safely around moving equipment.
• Clean machines and remove debris from burners and equipment.
• Draw ATH for disposal and assist with machine maintenance.
• Support team training and cross-training initiatives.
• Operate pallet jacks and perform material handling tasks.
• Maintain forklift certification (provided by Mitsubishi).
• Wear required PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment with exposure to heat.
• Climb ladders and stairs; use hand tools and light equipment with dexterity.

• Previous experience in general labor, production, packaging, or material handling.
• Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in various tasks.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
