Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of hospital inpatient experience for a 13-week assignment in an inpatient rehabilitation unit in Richmond, VA.

Details

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit located within the main hospital building
• 44-bed unit staffed by 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Patient population includes stroke and neurological rehabilitation cases
• Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-education, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-education, self-care, and functional e-stim
• Equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
• Documentation via Meditech Expanse
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with rotating weekends
• May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital inpatient experience required
• Experience in stroke evaluation and treatment required
• Inpatient rehab experience preferred
• Active PT license required if applicable
• Must have clinical experience within the last 6 months in the PT role
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two references required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

Additional Information

• Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
• Candidates are expected to utilize AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices
• Preferred dress code is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
