Millwright

Ulliman Schutte is a national leader in the construction and renovation of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and associated utility work.

We are seeking experienced Pipefitters for our construction project in Newport News, VA. Industry-leading benefits include competitive wages, 401k retirement plan, health and dental insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for all employees. This is a prevailing wage project.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Pay Range: $30+ base plus fringe

Construction Site Location: Newport News, VA

Millwright & Pipefitter Daily Life

• Erect, align, and install exposed and buried pipe systems of various materials.
• Install and align pumps and other facility process equipment
• General maintenance duties related to facility process equipment
• Work with project Superintendent to prioritize work.
• Use concepts, procedures, and practices common for pipefitters.
• Work safely.

Millwright & Pipefitter Requirements

• Knowledge of mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• At least one (1) year experience as a pipefitter.
• Knowledge of common safety practices on a construction site.
• Team player.
• Reliable transportation.
• Authorized to work in the US.
  
• High School diploma or equivalent and/or completion of formal training or apprenticeship is ideal.
• All candidates must pass a post-offer drug screening and physical.
