Veterinary Neurologist – Fairfax, VA

We are seeking a board certified or residency-trained Veterinary Neurologist to join a busy Neurology/Neurosurgery department. Our client is a well-established, 24-hour emergency/critical care and multi-specialty referral practice in Fairfax, Virginia – just outside of Washington, D.C. The hospital prides itself on their collaborative and collegial work environment. They hold an established caseload and reputation for multimodality, full-service diagnostic and therapeutic neurology services. Full-time surgery, internal medicine, oncology, radiology, ophthalmology, critical care, dermatology, and physical therapy specialists help provide multimodality patient care and support, along with a dedicated and trained neurology nursing staff and client care coordinator. The facility houses 3D Spiral CT, digital radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI, lab machines (CBC, chemistry, electrolyte, coag monitors, and more), an Antech lab, and 24 exam rooms.

In this position, you will use your superior medical judgement combined with a high level of empathy, confidence, and humility to build a client base and heal pets. This position allows you to combine your passion for medicine and compassion for pets with a commitment to professional growth. There are opportunities to teach and mentor with the hospital’s active internship program, as well as frequent vet student externs, and RDVM continuing education programs.
