Prep Cook / Line Cook

DBS is excited to announce an opportunity for a Prep Cook / Line Cook to join our dynamic team. In this dual role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food preparation, and executing menu items efficiently on the line. Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices, in accordance with established recipes and portion control guidelines.
• Assist in cooking and assembling dishes during service, ensuring that all items meet quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area and kitchen station, including proper storage of food items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy shifts.
• Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance culinary skills.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience as a prep cook or line cook in a restaurant setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food safety certification is a plus.
