JOB SITE: Central Pharmacy / in-person job

• Location is southeast coast
• this job requires a relocation out of Florida (please inquire)

SCHEDULE: 7on 7off

• Wednesday to Tuesday

TOP COMPENSATION: highly competitive package

• BASE Salary Range: $60 to 75/hour (without diffs)
• Sign On Bonus: $10,000
• Relocation Assistance $7,500 (negotiable)

REPORTS TO DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY (DOP)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following role will be for the overseeing of 3 sites. (150 beds, 50 beds, 50 beds)

Culture Call Backs are a large part of this role. The ED Pharmacist will oversee all drug prescriptions to ED patients that may not be correct since they were prescribed prior to the culture analysis. The ED Pharmacist will reach out to patients (under Collaborative Practice Agreements).

Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacists have Prescriptive Authority.

• The Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist is assigned to Emergency Department operations supporting medication related distributive and clinical functions along with oversight of tasks performed by pharmacy technicians.
• Participates in the care of and reviews/verifies medication orders for patients in this setting all units including ICUs and stepdown ICUs
• Organizes initial treatment and monitoring plans for targeted medications by protocol including pharmacokinetic consults, warfarin consults and automatic renal dose adjustments
• Assures compounded medications meet standards for quality when performing or supervising compounding
• Documents clinical interventions to measure the clinical & economic effectiveness of clinical pharmacy services
• Communicates pass-off of patient care issues to the day shift pharmacist staff
• Collaborates with nursing and medical staff to clarify pharmacotherapy orders or address pharmacotherapy related questions or concerns
• The Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist will have support to call upon for any questions/concerns. The support will be from one of the sister hospital's Pharmacists.

General information about the PHARMACY DEPARTMENT:

• Total of 10 pharmacists in the department - and growing
• Average daily census runs around 150 beds on average - for the larger size hospital
• Hybrid pharmacy model
• Critical Care Pharmacist and Antimicrobial Pharmacist practice on nursing units participating in order verification, provision of drug information and clinical pharmacy services
• Clinical pharmacy services include pharmacokinetic consults, anticoagulation management, automatic intravenous to oral switches, automatic renal dose adjustments and automatic therapeutic interchanges.
