Environmental Health & Safety Professional
-Assist with the development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of EHS programs.
-Issue stop work orders for unsafe conditions and actions without fear of reprisal.
-Evaluate facility modifications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
-Conduct studies and surveys to assess overall plant safety and facility needs, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and adherence to established safety work practices.
-Perform written reports, technical documents, and compliance reviews, and recommend or initiate corrective actions and improvements to mitigate and resolve regulatory deficiencies.
-Collaborate across facility departments to ensure equipment and processes are maintained and hazardous conditions are corrected.
-Facilitate compliance programs to ensure all Federal and State Safety and Health Regulations are maintained.
-Participate in facility drills and emergency events.
-Prepare and issue written and verbal reports to management summarizing findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
-Perform Industrial Hygiene (IH) Sampling and other IH actions.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"-
-A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering is required.
-A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in an industrial setting is required.
-Must possess working knowledge of OSHA 29CFR1910 General Industry Regulations and Standards.
-Must be proficient in developing and delivering OSHA-compliant safety training programs including but not limited to:• Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
• Rigging and Hoisting
• Crane Operations
• Powered Industrial Truck Operations
• Hazard Communication
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage
• Fall Protection and Restraint Systems
• Emergency Response Proceduresstyle="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"-
-Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and successfully resolve conflict.
-Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, and demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Must be able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with proven success as a problem solver, negotiator, facilitator, and decision maker.
-Must have demonstrable knowledge of regulatory compliance and understand the importance of maintaining accurate documentation.
-Must be able to read and understand schematics and flow diagrams.
-Must be able to prioritize and execute tasks, with a high degree of accuracy, in a rapidly changing environment.
-Must be able to maintain confidential/personal information and materials.
-Must be a U.S. citizen.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance, whichever is required.

-Previous experience working with Additive Manufacturing is a plus.
-Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is a plus.

Pay: $66,000.00 - $101,000.00The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $66,000.00 and $101,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
