Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to patients with endocrine disorders
• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments to diagnose conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families about endocrine health
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Participate in continuous professional development and training

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Endocrinology is preferred
• Prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly in endocrinology
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
• Current medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call shifts

Setting: Outpatient clinic

Patient Census: 16 per day

Procedures: Download and interpret continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps

Current Staff: 1 MD, 1 NP

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
