Summary

Great Beginnings Early Learning Center is a privately owned and operated Christian Preschool center. We are seeking a dynamic, professional, and detail-oriented Childcare Center Coordinator.

Understanding, training, and adherence to regulations of the Virginia Department of Education Licensing board, as well as reporting compliance findings to the Director and Proprietors daily and weekly, are required.

Training staff related to the licensing standards and center policies through hands on application and training in the classroom, on classroom management, engagement, and programming skills is essential.

Strong Administrative skills are essential. The Childcare Center Coordinator maintains all staff licensing files and ensures employee files are up to date. The Childcare Center Coordinator reviews all children?s files, immunization records, and reports are maintained and updated.

Staff and Center Family Newsletters will be created and distributed by the Childcare Center Coordinator on a minimum of a monthly basis.

Duties

The Childcare Center Coordinator will complete compliance checks in classrooms daily. Providing timely demonstration, correction, guidance, and training is essential for the holder of this position.

Modeling and correcting compliance-related activities and standards required of early childhood centers.

Demonstrating strong oral and written communication, including reporting, Excel, Word, and MS Suites, and social media.

Submission of Compliance Reports and communications with staff, parents, and children related communications to Management and the Proprietors daily.

Overseeing child development planning through teacher training, compliance report reviews, and adjustments as staff work with children moving through developmental milestones.

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of child development, the Virginia Department of Education Licensing Standards, and center policies and procedures.

Modeling consistent leadership, professionalism, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ensuring center compliance with background checks, onboarding orientation, Infant/child CPR and First Aid, Daily Health Observation, TB test, and other certifications and health screenings are updated and filed.

Facilities checks to ensure compliance with Virginia Department of Education Licensing Standards and Center policies. Completion of Compliance reports and training related to updating Center facilities, esthetics, and programming.

Implementation of Quality Childcare Newsletter for Staff education, information, encouragement, training opportunities, and improvement.

Creating, maintaining, and promoting the GBELC Compliance Recognition Board for staff tracking and progress as they promote adherence to the Virginia Department of Education Licensing Standards and Center policies.

Participation in Compliance meetings with the Proprietors and Director to ensure continuous quality communication and connectivity.

? Assigned Duties
* Visit classrooms and observe teaching methods, complete compliance reports and training based on observation and licensing standards.
* Completion of daily quality assurance checks.
* Updating Compliance staff folders, HR files, child files, and Brightwheel consistent with center and licensing standards.
* Summit Daily Compliance Reports and center updates to Center Director and Proprietors.
* Uploading and Updating Immunization Records.
- Ensure all children?s immunization records are uploaded and regularly updated in Brightwheel.
* Managing Inventory & Supply Orders
- Oversee classroom and center supply inventory.
* Monitoring implementation of the A Beka Book Curriculum.
* Updating Procare/Brightwheel and CRM Software.
* Maintain knowledge of and ensure center compliance with, all current state regulations and guidelines.
* Closely follow licensing regulations related to the Virginia Department of Education.
* Adheres to GBELC policies and procedures.
