Job Summary : The Café Lead is responsible for supporting daily food and beverage operations at the Horizons Edge Sports Campus Cafe.

Duties:

• Oversee daily café and concessions operations during practices, games, leagues, tournaments, and special events



• Deliver fast, friendly, and welcoming customer service



• Train part time staff on food and beverage procedures and demonstrate excellent customer service and professionalism at all times



• Maintain a positive environment that enhances the overall guest experience



• Ensure efficient food preparation, service, and closing procedures



• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards at all times



• Follow and ensure staff follow outlined health, safety, and cash-handling procedures



• Follow Virginia Alcohol Beverage Commission’s regulations of service



• Monitor inventory levels and communicate to Operations Director for reorders as needed



• Track waste and manage portion control to maintain profitability



• Clean, maintain and inspect equipment



• Work with Hospitality Director and Operations Director to craft standard operating procedures



• Be proactive in process development and improvement for Edge Café Operations



• Attend all mandatory Edge meetings



• Participate in operational training and facilitate non-food and beverage programs when needed



• Support as a Team Lead or Welcome Desk Attendant as needed.



• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• Must be at least twenty-one years of age



• Passion for quality, safety, and sanitization



• Understand and practice basic food safety



• ServeSafe Certification or willingness to obtain



• Managers’ Alcohol Responsibility Training (MART) Certification or willing to obtain



• Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills



• Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment



• Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays as needed



• Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written



• Must have strong leadership skills
