Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join CALIBRE Systems Inc. As a Proofreader, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of written content for our U.S. government and commercial clients. Your keen eye for spotting errors and strong language skills will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of excellence in our deliverables.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and proofread various documents, reports, and communications to ensure grammar, syntax, and formatting accuracy
• Verify factual correctness and consistency of information presented in written materials
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and content creators to adhere to style guidelines and project requirements
• Suggest improvements for clarity, coherence, and overall effectiveness of written content
• Maintain a keen attention to detail while working efficiently to meet project deadlines

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
• Proven experience in proofreading and editing written content with a high level of accuracy
• Excellent knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and writing conventions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and other editing tools

Desired Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a proofreading or editorial role
• Experience working with government or commercial clients is a plus
• Knowledge of AP Style or Chicago Manual of Style preferred

Salary & Benefits:
