Lot Attendant / CDL A Driver

Vermeer All Roads | Ashland, VA

Are you an experienced CDL A (unrestricted) driver who enjoys a variety of tasks? Have you operated heavy equipment ? Vermeer All Roads in Ashland, VA is searching for a CDL A truck driver/general laborer/yard tech assistant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for transporting Vermeer equipment, assisting technicians/mechanics , and organizing equipment on the lot. You will be driving a Ford 550 with a trailer and operating Vermeer equipment. This is a full time, benefits eligible position with a competitive hourly rate. Must be at least 21 years old , insurable by our carrier (clean driving record) and at least 3 years recent delivery/driving experience. Reach out today for an interview.

Responsibilities

1. Observe and follow safety procedures and DOT regulations
2. Secure equipment safely onto the trailer
3. Operate Vermeer equipment and organize neatly around the dealership
4. Remain alert while operating the vehicle
5. Assist technicians in the shop
6. Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
7. Communicate effectively with employees and customers
8. All other duties as assigned.
