Job Title: Hair Stylist / Curl Specialty

Responsibilities

Prescribe professional healthy-hair game plans and salon products to all salon guests. Acknowledge and greet all guests, and offer friendly, prompt, and courteous service.

Assist in salon duties.

Attend Versus Salon educational workshops, meetings and one yearly trade show.

Meet or exceed all individual sales and productivity goals.

Qualifications

Stylist must have current cosmetology license or working towards obtaining there license.

Existing clientele a plus.

Experience with curly hair is a plus.

Proficiency with current hair trends.

Knowledgeable with use of equipment needed to perform technical work efficiently.

Ownership of own professional tools (flat iron, curling wand, combs, clips, etc.)

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and team player.

Practical, results-oriented attitude.

Excellent communication skills and ability to grow from constructive criticism.

Interest in and motivation to attend training and expand your craft.

Experienced with many types/textures of hair.

Flexible availability.

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Required licenses or Interested in obtaining Cosmetology License through apprenticeship:

• Current Cosmetology License or enrolled in Cosmetology School
• or Interested in Apprenticeship via Versus Salon / Virginia Department of Labor

Responsibilities

* Manage systems and procedures for the salon daily and oversee all aspects of general salon coordination along with supervision of
staff to adhere to the salon policy

* Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and salon business information.

* Correspondence to all inquiries via telephone, all social media, and email regarding client inquiries

* Coordinate and maintain records for staff, including monthly staff evaluations

* Input in developing in-salon promotions and advertising as scheduled.

* Monitor inventory weekly to provide purchasing needs.

* Maintaining / Reviewing all client scheduling and inquiries, confirming services, and verifying the correct time allotted for services to make sure the salon is at its maximum profit capability
