Day Support Program
Summary We’re seeking a hands-on leader who can run a small, center-based Day Support program and own DMAS/MCO billing & compliance. You’ll keep ratios and service quality on track while ensuring clean claims, tight documentation, and inspection-ready files. Duties
- Lead daily floor operations and staffing; maintain 1:3–1:5 ratios and a safe, engaging environment.
- Oversee intake, ISPs, progress notes (≤24 hr), incident reporting, and family communication.
- Run drills, readiness checks, and quality huddles; track attendance/utilization and outcomes.
- Convert attendance/ISP documentation into clean claims; submit, post, and reconcile.
- Manage denials/appeals, AR/aging, and payer authorizations; keep a payer-rules matrix current.
- Maintain DBHDS-ready policy/procedure binders; lead internal audits (client & staff files, training, ratios).
- Coordinate privacy/HIPAA practices and corrective actions (RCAs/CAPs) after incidents.
- 3+ years in Day Support/IDD or related youth programs and 2+ years Virginia DMAS/MCO billing experience.
- Strong grasp of documentation that supports claims (ISPs tied to goals, progress notes, attendance/ratios).
- Comfort with payer portals/spreadsheets; excellent follow-through and deadline discipline.
- Clear, family-friendly communication and calm leadership on a busy floor.
- Experience with DBHDS licensing inspections or internal audits; MES/MCO portals familiarity.
- Staff training experience.
- Bilingual: Spanish, Farsi, Urdu, Arabic (other community languages welcome)
