Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity involves providing specialized speech-language pathology services within a school setting via telespeech and in-person modalities. The role is based in Newport News, VA, supporting students who require speech and language interventions to improve communication skills essential for academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy sessions using telespeech and face-to-face approaches.
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff and caregivers to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with educational and clinical standards.
- Adapt therapy methods to meet diverse student populations and learning environments.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience providing speech and language services in school settings.
- Proficiency in telespeech technology and teletherapy best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain accurate records.
