Animal Medical Center of Louisa is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our thriving practice! This role is integral to ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care and that our clients feel supported every step of the way.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care for patients before, during, and after procedures. Assist veterinarians in exams, surgeries, dental procedures, and treatments.
Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia under the direction of a DVM.
Monitor patients, including anesthesia monitoring, pain management, and recovery. Collect and process laboratory samples, run diagnostics, and record results.
Educate and support clients in proper pet care, treatment plans, and preventive medicine. Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital environment.
Serve as a mentor and role model for assistants and support staff.
Qualifications
We’d love to meet you if you have:
Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in the state of Virginia (or eligibility for licensure). Strong technical skills in anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, and laboratory procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Compassion for pets and their people, with a focus on client education.
A positive, can-do attitude and a commitment to continued learning.
Compensation & Benefits

Monday: 7:30am 7:00pm
Tuesday: 7:30am 5:00pm
Wednesday: 7:30am 7:00pm
Thursday: 7:30am 5:00pm
Friday: 7:30am 5:00pm
