Senior Accountant (Costpoint required)

Senior Accountant

Astor & Sanders Corporation (Astor), a recognized leader in IT solutions headquartered in McLean, VA, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. This is a full-time position based onsite at the company's headquarters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning, as well as GSA reporting
• Day to day use of Deltek Costpoint
• Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• MUST have experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with audit processes and internal controls.
