Patient Service Specialist – Full Time, Onsite (Contract to Hire)

Location: Purcellville, VA

Schedule: Mon through Thurs 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM; Fri 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay: $18 per hour

Placement Type: Contract to hire (90 days)

About the Opportunity

A busy and well established physical therapy clinic in Purcellville, VA is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join their front office team. This is a high volume, patient facing role ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with people, thrives in a fast paced environment and is comfortable supporting both patients and clinical staff. As one of the main front desk coordinators, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and help ensure smooth daily operations. The environment is friendly, patient focused and values genuine interaction rather than a transactional experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients, handle check ins and check outs and manage scheduling

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with their needs

• Complete patient registration and insurance-related tasks

• Document therapist notes and enter information into the EMR system

• Support clinicians while managing phones and assisting patients simultaneously

• Maintain accuracy and professionalism in a fast paced, multitasking environment

• Build strong rapport with patients and provide exceptional service

Your time will be divided evenly between phone work, computer and EMR tasks, and face to face interaction.

• Experience in medical front desk, patient registration or insurance verification is preferred

Reliability is essential as this is a high volume clinic where front desk coverage is critical.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Purcellville, VA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
