Accounts Receivable Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable and Billing Assistant to join our finance team. This role involves managing customer AR accounts, ensuring accurate billing and collections, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and software. We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years’ commercial construction (preferred) AR and billing experience. Candidates should also have strong organizational skills, be self-motivated, have good communication skills, a positive attitude and be a team player.

This position also requires:

• Knowledge of accounting/industry software (QuickBooks)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Be deadline and detail oriented.
• The candidate will also support the accounting team with additional administrative tasks as needed.

Accounts Receivable requirements:

• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up professionally to facilitate collections.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, payment histories, and account statuses.
• Assist with monthly closing activities and reporting
• Filing and administrative task as required for job performance.

Billing requirements:

• Generate and send customer invoices/monthly pay applications accurately and on time
• Knowledge of commercial construction monthly billing process (Preferred - AIA pay applications, Textura, invoicing, and contract billing)
