Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift while helping staff, patients, and visitors feel supported throughout the location.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry for staff, visitors, and/or contractors while following location protocols for restricted or sensitive areas.
• Document observations, incidents, and/or security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a DCJS license for positions in Virginia only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
