Position Description
CGI has an immediate need for an Information Security Trainer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. • This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities
The Information Security Trainer will play a key role in the "Security Coaches and Advisors" program delivering hands-on training to developers in application security. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering training content aligned with industry and organizational best practices. Trainers will lead cohort sessions, host office hours, and provide ad hoc training to address emerging security concerns. They will also collaborate closely with developers, security coaches, and advisors to ensure secure coding practices and prevent vulnerabilities in production environments.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Strong understanding of application security principles, vulnerabilities, and remediation techniques.
• Experience in training delivery, especially in technical or cybersecurity domains.
• Ability to design and develop training content in collaboration with SMEs and security advisors.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with developer cohorts.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable with feedback loops, adapting training based on cohort input.
• Ability to generate progress reports and maintain training documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and security frameworks is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or CSSLP are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, application security, or technical training roles.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $137,100.00.
