Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Gluer Operator/ Die Cutter to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the packaging industry, specifically with die cutters, flexo press, gluer operators, and offset press operations. You will be responsible for setting up, changing over, and troubleshooting machines to produce packaging product boxes such as beer boxes, food boxes, and pet food containers.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight line folder gluer and other plant equipment as necessary.
• Perform setups, changeovers, and troubleshoot machines.
• Operate die cutters, flexo press, and offset press for various packaging products.
• Ensure the quality and efficiency of production processes.

Essential Skills

• Experience with glue or die cutting in a manufacturing or graphic packaging environment.
• Knowledge of operating die cutters, flexo press, gluer operators, and offset press.
• Proficiency in operating machines such as flexo, roll cutter, gluer, rotary gravure, and sheet-fed die cutters.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the packaging industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with large format printing equipment like Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer (KBA), Komori machines.
• Experience with narrow or large format printing using Uteco, KBA, or Tresu machines.

Work Environment

The work environment can be very hot in the summer and cold in the winter, as it is not climate controlled. Due to workload, employees work 12-hour shifts, with options for day or night shifts without the need for rotation. Expect to work around 60+ hours a week, including weekends. Typical shifts run from 6 AM to 6 PM and 6 PM to 6 AM, or 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Sandston, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Booming with business and is considered essential. Recently won large contracts. They are in the process of adding new equipment and adding slitters, gluers and printers

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Sandston,VA.
