ED Patient Access Tech - 1pm- 9:30pm Shift

Key Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and assist patients and families upon arrival
• Update patient demographics accurately and confidentially
• Verify insurance eligibility and coverage
• Collect co-pays and process payments
• Obtain required consents (in-person, phone, judicial, etc.)
• Scan and upload documents into the electronic medical record
• Provide support to departments throughout the facility
• Document all interactions with accuracy and professionalism
• Facilitate patient admissions across hospital and pavilion locations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Emergency Department (ED) Monday -Friday and every other weekend ( 40 hour work weeks!)

1:00 PM – 9:30 PM — Every other weekend required

This is a Contract position based out of Norfolk, VA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
