The Agile Coach provides expert guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support to drive the successful adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices across software, hardware, and service domains. Agile Coaches help build a culture of agility, collaboration, and iterative learning to improve performance, productivity, and adaptability across the enterprise. Coaches support Agile adoption efforts at both the team and organizational levels, with a focus on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other scaled Agile methodologies.
Agile Coaches may perform classified and unclassified work at multiple locations and virtually, and must be able to obtain and maintain the DOE Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance (including access to Restricted Data and designated compartments) required by the task order. Position Summary:
The Level 3 Agile Coach partners with customer leadership to design and guide Agile-at-scale transformations. This role provides both strategic and practical coaching, aligning leadership vision with large-scale Agile implementation strategies. Agile Coach’s provides part-time, as-needed support for the adoption and enhancement of Agile practices within a single or multiple Scrum or Kanban team. This role requires a contractor with the flexibility to adapt to evolving program needs and schedules.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of Agile coaching experience with a single Scrum or Kanban team.
- Plus minimum 3 additional years of Agile coaching experience with multiple teams (at least three Scrum or Kanban teams).
- Experience launching and improving Agile practices at the team level.
- Experience coaching in both Scrum and Kanban environments.
- Familiarity with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, GitLab, Azure DevOps).
- Strong mentoring, facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience launching and improving Agile practices using an Agile-at-scale framework (SAFe, LeSS, S@S, DAD, or similar)
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with leadership to design Agile-at-scale implementations (SAFe, LeSS, S@S, DAD, or equivalent).
Key Duties:
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design enterprise-level Agile transformations.
- Coach leadership on scaling Agile adoption strategies.
- Advise on selection and tailoring of scaled frameworks.
- Contribute to organizational change management in Agile adoption.
- Align Agile implementation with organizational goals.
Location: Work may be performed at various locations or virtually - TBD
Clearance: TS/SCI is preferable
