Stockroom Supervisor Immediate Supervisor: Store Manager

Job Summary

The Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for the overall operational efficiency of the freight area. This position supervises 5-10 freight associates to deliver results through the life cycle of merchandise in our stores.

Job Responsibilities

· Provide superior customer service

· Receive, process, and stock freight

· Process mis-mate shoes and clothing, damages, and transfers

· Lead, coach, train, and develop freight processing associates

· Utilize company tools (computer, RF Unit, reporting, etc.) to maintain accurate inventory results

· Keep work area clean and safe from hazards. Follow all safety procedures including sharps, ladders, lifting, etc.

· Able to use a pallet jack

· Keep all fire lanes and emergency exits clear

· Assist team members in other areas as directed by the stockroom supervisor or store management

· Total contents of truck and report results to corporate controller

· Organize and maintain back stock merchandise, fixtures, and hangers

· Communicate with associates, store management and corporate officials

· Motivate freight associates to maximize performance

· Evaluate freight associate's performance

· Operate cash register when needed

· Uphold company policies and procedures

Qualifications

· Work a flexible schedule

· Ability to bend, stoop, stand for long periods of time, and climb a ladder per safety guidelines

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

· Must be 18 years or older
