ServiceNow Architect

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented ServiceNow Architect to join our team in Herndon, VA.

The ServiceNow Architect will leverage their strong technical background and extensive development experience to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-level solutions. You will be responsible for defining the technical architecture, ensuring system scalability, and guiding the development team through complex integrations and custom application builds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Leading the architectural design and technical governance for the ServiceNow platform to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

• Designing and developing complex workflows, business rules, and custom applications using JavaScript and ServiceNow APIs.

• Coordinating with stakeholders and internal teams to navigate system requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

• Overseeing system integrations and data flows between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.

• Maintaining platform health through routine monitoring, performance tuning, and adherence to configuration management best practices.

• Recommending and implementing process improvements to streamline development lifecycles and platform administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in ServiceNow architecture and development.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

• Significant experience designing enterprise-scale (5,000+ users) ServiceNow solutions and navigating complex system requirements.

• Proven expertise in full-stack ServiceNow development, including IntegrationHub, Service Portal, and custom application creation.

• Exceptional ability to create and communicate complex technical documentation and architectural diagrams to diverse audiences.

• United States citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Professional (Certified Application Developer or System Architect).

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM (CIS-ITSM).

• ServiceNow Architectural Excellence (ArchX).

• Self-starter with excellent people skills who is able to work across remote teams and drive organizational change.

Clearance Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

• You must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

• You will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets or office machinery.

• You must frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

• You must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
