Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is accepting applications for an administrative assistant position that is available at Kipps Elementary School.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Functional knowledge of commonly used office equipment and work-flow technologies
• Computer literate proficient in Microsoft Office including EXCEL WORD Power-Point and Google Docs
• Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain an unquestionable degree of confidentiality
• Ability to multi-task work with interruptions and work under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents students school administrators and staff
• Ability to be dependable and punctual
• Payroll/Bookkeeping/Accounting/Purchasing Experience
• Special education financial reports and reimbursements
• Ability to create and distribute brochures and other supplies
• Process various reports
• Ability to provide timely and accurate administrative support to supervisors

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the secretarial and/or administrative office fields
• Experience in a school system
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be found appropriate and acceptable to meet the requirements of the specific assignments.
• Computer literate proficient in Excel Word PowerPoint Access and Web Page design and maintenance
• Experience with student and/or financial data systems
• Knowledge of the special education process

FLSA Status : Non-exempt

SALARY: $33280.00- $62184.54 annually; with benefits; commensurate with experience (salary may change due to 2026-2027 budget considerations)
