We’re looking for a Licensed P&C Insurance Agent (Personal Lines)who’s just as comfortable building relationships as they are closing business. In this role, you’ll inherit a well-established book of business from retiring exclusive agents — and you’ll have the opportunity to grow it even further through your own outreach, service excellence, and sales energy.

Harrisonburg, VA (On-site, daily commute required)

Full-time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
10–15% travel annually
Competitive base pay + quarterly incentives

What You’ll Be Doing

This role blends the best of both worlds: service and sales. On any given day, you’ll be:

• Building relationships with existing clients — answering questions, reviewing coverage, and making sure they’re protected and confident in their policies.
• Managing renewals, endorsements, and claims follow-up with professionalism and care.
• Reaching out to new prospects through calls, referrals, and community connections to expand your book.
• Cross-selling additional products that truly fit your clients’ needs.
• Documenting all interactions in AMS360(or similar system) to keep everything running smoothly.
• Representing the agency at occasional conferences and events (10–15% travel).

What You Bring to the Table

Must Haves:

• 2–5 years of experience in personal lines insurance (home, auto, umbrella, dwelling).
• Current Virginia Property & Casualty License.
• A friendly, approachable, and client-first personality — people trust you because you truly listen.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable navigating digital tools.
• Able to commute to Harrisonburg, VA daily.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in farm or agribusiness insurance.
• Familiarity with AMS360.
• Professional designations like CISR, CPIA, or CPCU.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of insurance service and/or sales experience (independent agency experience preferred).
• Current Virginia P&C License required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
