Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A health system in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking an Outpatient Infusion Staff Pharmacist to support their Cancer Center. This contract-to-hire opportunity offers the chance to work with a dedicated team in an outpatient infusion pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities include verifying and dispensing chemotherapy and other infusion medications, collaborating with providers and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care, and utilizing electronic systems such as EPIC and Pyxis for medication management. The pharmacist will work closely with a team of 2-3 pharmacists and 3 pharmacy technicians to support 44 infusion chairs in providing excellent patient care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia pharmacist license
• Experience in infusion pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and/or chemotherapy preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing systems is a plus
• Strong communication and clinical skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Location:

• Fredericksburg, VA (Cancer Center)

Schedule:

• Typical hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy operating hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call or weekend coverage required
