Project Coordinator - Property Management Construction
Job Summary:
The construction company client is seeking a motivated and organized Project Coordinator to actively support our construction team. As a Project Coordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, sub contractors, and internal teams. You will manage and resolve tasks delegated by the Superintendent and Project Manager, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout all stages of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Due Dates: Ensure scheduled items and their respective due dates are communicated to team members and adjusted when necessary. Monitor due dates to prevent timeline slippage.
* Construction Team Support: Actively assist the construction team by serving as the primary contact for technicians, vendors, and operations team members, ensuring smooth communication and timely completion of tasks.
* Communication Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact between internal teams, vendors, and clients, providing clear updates on project status, scheduling changes, and setting expectations to ensure everyone is aligned.
* Task Management: Manage and resolve tasks delegated by the Superintendent and Project Manager, coordinating with vendors and technicians to ensure efficient task execution and completion.
* Project Scheduling: Work closely with the Project Manager to finalize and input the project timeline into Buildertrend, including milestones, budgets, and resources, ensuring accurate tracking of all project phases.
* Scope of Work Updates: Regularly update the Buildertrend schedule items to reflect discrepancies or incomplete tasks based on the scope of work, ensuring up-to-date project timelines.
* Client Communication: Maintain high-level communication with clients regarding project progress, changes, and upcoming work. Summarize and send clients follow up emails via BuilderTrend to provide clear documentation of client phone & text communications.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, offering solutions and support to overcome challenges and ensure the success of the project. Foster a positive and cooperative team environment.
* Escalation of Issues: Proactively escalate any client issues or concerns to the appropriate team members to address promptly and professionally.
* Change Order Management: Enter change orders into BuilderTrend and ensure that change orders move through the pipeline and are properly documented.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in project coordination, construction, or a related field is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage and resolve tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address and escalate issues as needed.
