NATE Part-Time Administrative Assistant
Northern American Technician Excellence (NATE) is a nationally recognized, nonprofit certification organization that supports excellence in the HVACR industry through certification of HVAC technicians. NATE is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Part‑Time Administrative Assistant to support daily operations at our office in Arlington on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for fourteen hours each week. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys administrative work, is a self-starter, highly organized, and takes pride in providing accurate and efficient support. The salary is $27.47/hr. What You’ll Do
- Prepare, pack, label, and ship orders from NATE’s Online Store
- Process paper exams accurately and confidentially
- Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries in a timely manner
- Update and maintain customer records using provided data
- Perform other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in an administrative or clerical role. (Experience working in a mail room is a plus!)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic knowledge of clerical procedures such as filing, managing email correspondence, and simple data entry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to sit for extended periods
- Frequent use of hands and arms for reaching and handling materials
- Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
- Ability to lift and move items up to 20 pounds
