About the Role:

Mount Vernon Country Club is seeking a professional and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service by preparing and serving beverages in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar area, handling cash and credit card transactions, and ensuring compliance with all state and local laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or high-volume establishment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and carry heavy weight (up to 50 pounds)
• Excellent guest service skills and a professional, groomed appearance
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and maintain regular and reliable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in responsible alcohol service
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
• Knowledge of wine and spirits
• Experience in a private club or upscale restaurant environment

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with all state and local laws and regulations regarding the sale and service of alcohol
• Provide exceptional guest service by anticipating and responding to guest needs and requests

Skills:

As a Bartender at Mount Vernon Country Club, you will use your bartending skills to prepare and serve a variety of beverages to our guests. You will also use your guest service skills to provide exceptional service and ensure guest satisfaction. In addition, you will use your organizational and time management skills to maintain a clean and organized bar area and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail will be essential to your success in this role. Finally, your professional demeanor and groomed appearance will help create a welcoming and upscale atmosphere for our guests.
