NOW HIRING: CONTRACT ACCOUNTANT IN YORKTOWN, VA!

Position: Contract Accountant
Pay: Up to $32/hr based on experience
Shifts: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some overtime may be required)
Benefits: Weekly pay, Medical, Dental, Vision

The Lee Group is seeking a Contract Accountant to join a reputable corporate team in Yorktown, VA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to contribute their skills in a supportive, fast-paced office environment. The assignment is expected to last a few months and will be performed on-site at the company’s headquarters.

What You’ll Do as Contract Accountant :

• Perform reconciliations on assigned general ledger accounts
• Create and post journal entries
• Complete account reconciliations and implement necessary corrections
• Support the accounting team with additional related duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For in a Contract Accountant :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business-related field, or equivalent experience
• At least two (2) years of relevant accounting experience in an automated environment
• Familiarity with 1099 requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Word
• Typing speed of at least 45 WPM and 7,000 numeric keystrokes per minute
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements for Contract Accountant :

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear frequently
• Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, push, or pull
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds

Work Environment for Contract Accountant :

• Work is performed on-site in a climate-controlled corporate office
