Peraton is seeking a Logistics Advisor to support the coordination, tracking, and execution of logistics for SATCOM ground terminal projects. In this role, you will manage end-to-end supply chain activities, ensure compliance with DoD guidelines, and collaborate across teams to drive project success. The ideal candidate brings logistics or supply chain experience, with strong organizational and communication skills.
The Logistics Advisor will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Executing logistics processes for SATCOM ground terminal projects to include managing end-to-end shipping operations for the project team, including creation of shipments, equipment manifests, inventory, and researching alternative sources for logistics solutions.
- Performing purchasing duties for the project team to procure hardware, tools, and other required necessities as needed.
- Interfacing with the Procurement Team to obtain quotes, manage Purchase Orders, and general inquiries of orders created for the Project Team.
- Managing reconciliation of the purchases and any additional accounts payable tasks required to project completion.
- Interfacing with Property Management team as primary project point of contact for asset management and identification.
- Communicating with all program disciplines including management, engineering, test, operations, and maintenance.
- Tracking and reporting on logistics metrics, identifying risks, and supporting continuous improvement in supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with a minimum of two years professional experience supporting program life-cycle/sustainment in logistics or supply chain roles. In lieu of degree six years of experience
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. (Clearance not needed at time of hire)
- Proficient using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD life-cycle management processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Exposure to SATCOM or defense-related projects.
- Professional certifications such as CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution) or equivalent.
SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range
Details
Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
