We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who is looking to make a real difference in our clients lives to join our team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed PT to implement treatment plans, provide direct patient care, and educating patients and caregivers on mobility exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapist (PT) in implementing treatment plans for clients with various conditions including geriatrics, and those requiring acute care
- Provide hands-on therapy, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training
- Monitor and document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising PT
- Educate clients and their families and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety techniques, injury prevention strategies, and strategies to enhance recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation of client treatment and progress in accordance with our policy and procedure
- Adjust therapy interventions based on patient response, under the direction of the PT
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Adhere to state and federal healthcare regulations, ethical guidelines and companys policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited educational institution
- Must hold a valid license and certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from the State of Virginia
- Prior experience in a home healthcare setting is preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of physical therapy principles, and rehabilitation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow detailed treatment plans
- Strong documentation and organizational skills, and attention to detail
- CPR/BLS certification is required
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition

Job Type : Part Time and Full Time roles Available
Pay Rate: $35.00 $65.00/hr and/or $80.00 $120.00 per visit. Rates are negotiable based on applicants experience
