Machine Operator Job Details:

• Schedule: M-TH 2:30pm-1:00am
• Pay Rate:$17.50/hr

Machine Operator Job Description:
Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic machines for deburring, cleaning, preserving, and packaging machined parts. Assemble simple subassemblies, assist with machine cell upkeep, and support daily shop operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret factory orders, schedules, and process documents (e.g., SOPs, Process Sheets, Maps).

• Assemble/disassemble pins and rollers for Ring Gear Housing Assemblies per work orders.

• Set up and maintain deburring, engraving, washing, and rust-prevention equipment.

• Use basic measurement tools (tape measure, go/no-go gauges, calipers) to verify dimensions.

• Document setups, production, and quality checks.

• Operate and maintain basic equipment (bandsaws, small presses); cut barstock and tubestock for CNC areas.

• Load/unload parts under CNC machinist supervision.

• Maintain material inventory and proper kanban quantities in designated areas.

• Safely operate forklifts (sit-down/stand-up), pallet jacks, and overhead cranes.

• Perform manual lifting, light maintenance, and regular machine/shop cleaning duties.

• Practice 5S principles; manage scrap and recycling in line with company policies.

• Operate shop facility equipment (floor scrubber, coolant recyclers, chip briquetters).

• Support general maintenance, safety compliance, and other machine shop initiatives.

Machine Operator Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate basic machinery
