Crew Leader – Landscape Maintenance (Top Performers can earn $23+/hour within 6-12 months)
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Landscape Crew Leader with at least 2 years of proven landscape maintenance experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in all weather conditions. This role is responsible for leading a crew, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role directly supports our mission to deliver consistent, professional landscape and snow & ice management services safely, on time, and with pride. Major Job Responsibilities
- Professionally represent U.S. Lawns at all times through appearance, communication, and work quality.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate crew members to ensure efficient and high-quality job performance.
- Assign daily tasks and follow up to ensure all work is completed according to company standards and client expectations.
- Train crew members on proper landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly in English and/or Spanish to ensure understanding of job tasks and expectations.
- Maintain a positive, responsive, and flexible attitude when interacting with clients and team members.
- Respond promptly to client requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Inspect job sites regularly and proactively identify potential issues or liabilities, communicating them to clients and management.
- Ensure all work is completed according to contract specifications and company quality standards.
- Maintain client satisfaction and build strong working relationships.
- Develop and manage job site punch lists with clear priorities to support scheduling and efficiency.
- Monitor and maintain irrigation controllers and report any issues.
- Evaluate crew performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices at all times.
- Conduct and document weekly safety tailgate meetings.
- Follow company procedures regarding safety violations and disciplinary actions.
- Maintain accountability for assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper use and care.
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all regulations
- Proven experience in landscaping or horticulture, with a focus on leadership.
- Strong knowledge of plants, landscaping techniques, and equipment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and reliability.
- Landscape industry certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
