Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Federal Acquisition Analyst to provide comprehensive pre- and post-award assistance across the full contract lifecycle. This role supports the Contracting Officer (CO) and engages with technical program and acquisition teams to ensure accurate documentation compliance with federal regulations and seamless contract execution. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented analytical and well-versed in DoD or federal contracting environments.
Responsibilities:
- Support the CO throughout the full acquisition lifecycle including planning solicitation evaluation award administration and closeout.
- Research a wide range of contractual issues provide recommendations and draft supporting documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and review of acquisition materials including Broad Agency Announcements (BAAs) performance work statements justifications and related documentation.
- Coordinate and maintain electronic award files in contract writing systems and other automated tools.
- Serve as a liaison between business technical and contracting teams to develop clear and compliant acquisition packages.
- Conduct market research analyze industry conditions and identify qualified sources for solicitation development.
- Perform fact-finding and analytical support for source selections while adhering to all confidentiality and conflict-of-interest requirements.
- Support responsibility determinations and assist the CO with data collection analysis and negotiation preparation.
- Apply cost and price analysis techniques to evaluate proposals across various contract types (e.g. Firm Fixed Price Cost-Plus).
- Coordinate post-award activities working with CORs and contract administration personnel as required.
- Prepare and process contract modifications including scope adjustments specification changes incremental funding and period-of-performance extensions.
- Assist with contract closeout activities including documentation review and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and support execution of stop-work orders cure notices show-cause letters and termination actions.
- Maintain accurate electronic filing workload tracking and document control in accordance with established naming conventions and processes.
- Perform other acquisition-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution; business-related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of contracting experience including pre- and post-award functions and cost analysis.
- Prior DoD or federal contracting experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal acquisition processes regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ability to perform the tasks outlined in the applicable Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently manage deadlines and support multiple concurrent contracting actions.
- Must meet all standard pre-employment requirements applicable to the contracting organization.
