Position Title: Accounts Receivable Manager/Lead

Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)

Assignment type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $105000 – $145000 / Year (based on experience)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee AR operations and ensure compliance with government contracting requirements. This role is a key contributor to cash flow, compliance, and reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations, government invoicing systems, and ERP platforms, along with strong leadership skills to mentor and guide a small AR team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full-cycle accounts receivable process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare and review invoices in accordance with CPFF, FFP, and T&M contracts.
• Process and submit invoices through federal systems (e.g., WAWF, IPP, DELTEK).
• Monitor AR aging and drive collections to improve cash flow and reduce DSO.
• Resolve invoice issues by collaborating with internal teams and external customers.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation in compliance with FAR/DFARS requirements.
• Supervise and mentor one AR team member.
• Generate AR-related reports (aging, DSO, forecasts) for management.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including automation opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of AR or financial management experience, ideally in government contracting.
• Experienced in a managerial role previously.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with federal invoicing systems (WAWF, IPP, DELTEK).
• Experience with ERP systems such as Costpoint or Unanet.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
