Machine Operator

Molding Machine Operator All Shifts | Full-Time

What You'll Do

• Set up molds, dies, and basic tooling
• Operate molding machines and monitor cycle times
• Make simple adjustments to keep production running smoothly
• Troubleshoot common issues (short shots, flashing, incomplete fills)
• Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenance
• Inspect parts for quality and consistency
• Record production runs and mold changes
• Report any equipment or material concerns

What We're Looking For

• Experience with molding, casting, extrusion, or machine operation
• Ability to follow setup instructions and recognize defects
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools
• Ability to read work instructions or basic technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and steady work pace
• Able to lift 3050 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Mold setup or changeover experience
• Plastics, rubber, or casting experience
• Quality inspection skills
• Basic troubleshooting or maintenance knowledge

Work Environment

This is a non-climate-controlled production environment that can get warm in the summer. You'll have a designated workstation, clear safety procedures, and the ability to keep water at your station. The team is structured, supportive, and focused on producing high-quality parts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
