ACI Health is a dedicated provider of healthcare services committed to excellence in patient care and administrative operations. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payment Poster to join our Billing Department. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions related to medical billing.

Position Summary:
The Payment Poster will be responsible for electronic data interchange (EDI), accounting, and reporting functions related to insurance payments. This role focuses on the financial aspects of the billing process, including posting payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies. Ideal candidates will have experience interpreting Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs), understanding adjustments, co-pays, and eligibility verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full support to the Billing Department in all payment posting activities
• Maintain a minimum productivity rate of 90% in contacting insurance companies and resolving aged accounts
• Manage and resolve 90% of unapplied, rejected, denied, and appealed claims
• Post charges and payments accurately to client accounts
• Complete and submit claims to insurance payers
• Review and resolve denied and appealed claims promptly
• Conduct system audits and claim reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Prepare progress reports and other documentation as needed
• Verify client insurance and document findings accurately

Qualifications:

• Experience with healthcare billing systems such as Kareo, Availity, Rethink, and other insurance platforms
• Strong understanding of ERAs, adjustments, co-pays, and insurance eligibility processes
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Preferred Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a medical billing or payment posting role
• Familiarity with insurance regulations and healthcare billing best practices
