Day to day as a Optometric Medical AssistantAs a new Full-Time Optometric Medical Assistant at Envision Eye Care, your day-to-day responsibilities will include welcoming patients and managing appointment schedules to ensure a smooth flow of operations. You'll assist in preliminary eye exams by performing vision tests and gathering patient histories, while also preparing examination rooms and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Throughout your day, you'll engage with patients, providing them with information and support regarding their eye care needs.
Additionally, you'll work closely with optometrists, assisting in various procedures and documenting findings accurately. Your expected schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to enjoy evenings and weekends free. This structured routine promotes a balanced work-life dynamic as you grow and develop your skill set in a supportive environment.
