Job Summary:

Solve customer problems by creating original products or updating existing products. Plan, develop, design, create, build, test and deliver solutions to customers.

Essential Functions:

Interface with customers to develop design requirements, schedule and associated project labor and material cost estimates. Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing during all phases of development to optimize design for timeliness, cost, performance, manufacturability, service and reliability. Participate in the specification, design, debug, documentation and delivery of costeffective high-quality analog and/or digital electrical products. Job may require occasional travel to customers or trade shows for sales and marketing support.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirement:

At least three years experience in an electronic environment, 5 years in a technical or engineering related field. Experience with circuit design and firmware development. Experience with optical filters, RF, and avionics a plus.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Strong understanding of digital and analog electronic circuit design. Demonstrated knowledge of problem solving, creativity and analytical skills. Solid skills using CAD tools for design, simulation, analysis and schematic generation. Proficient in embedded firmware development in C/C++ and assembly language. Familiar with using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and programmable power supplies. Self-directed, detail-oriented work ethic able to work independently on multiple projects as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable ISO processes. Excellent analytical skills. Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality procedures.

Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Project.

Experience or familiarity with any of the following is a strong plus: Calibrating electronic and/or optical measurement equipment. Measurement uncertainty and/or error propagation. Analysis and data collection techniques. Operating electronic measurement equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, and/or vector network analyzers. High level programming software, such as MatLab or Octave. DO-160, DO-178, DO-254. Good writing skills, particularly for writing procedures, such as test procedures.

Working Conditions:

Normal office, electronic lab, UV lab and manufacturing environment.
