KBR is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Engineer Specialist with AFSIM experience to join a team of quantitative analysts and modelers that conducts modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) using advanced MS&A techniques and tools.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to think creatively and offer grounded, out-of-the-box solutions when appropriate.
• Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with making or supporting decisions under uncertainty.
• Support M&S and software development efforts.
• Collaborate with military subject matter experts and DARPA program managers to characterize architectures and concepts under study in the simulation environment.
• Instantiate combat system, platform, and behavior models in the simulation environment.
• Instantiate kill chains, battle management command and control relationships, and other scenario-specific mission and operational factors in the simulation environment.
• Support the development and instantiation of an experiment design in the simulation environment.
• Be able to independently conduct assigned tasks in support of a broader analytic or modeling effort.
• Contribute to the creation of quality deliverables and reports and the quality control thereof.

• Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%
• Working Hours: Standard

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 3 years of relevant experience, or
• Master of Science in Computer Science, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 18 months of relevant experience
• At least 18 months of demonstrated proficiency in AFSIM; experience in other mission-level combat modeling & simulation frameworks such as NGTS will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Proficiency in C++, Python, or other programming language
• Active Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility

Desired:

• Master of Science in Computer Science, Operations Research, or other STEM field, plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity in model-based systems engineering tools such as CAMEO
• Basic proficiency in SysML

Basic Compensation:

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
